Join us for a week of engaging art exploration as young learners, ages 7 to 10, discover the chemistry of cooking, the process of measuring materials and the joy of various tactile art forms. 
Learners will gain sewing, weaving, knitting, cross stitch skills and more at this camp, as well as new friendships. No experience necessary. Please advise of any and all food allergies and sensitivities.

The Makerspace entrance is at the rear of the building, down the accessible ramp. 

What To Expect:

📘 5 days of hands-on learning and building as a team.
🎒 Before & After Care included from 8:30 to 5:30 Monday to Thursday. Only Before Care is offered on Friday.
🎓 Guest Instructors: We partner with local industry leaders to bring guest instructors to camp to teach kids about working in technology.
☀️ Time to move and get outside: Balance is important! Every day we will take learners outside to move and stretch and enjoy the sunshine
💻 Demo Day: Friday afternoon parents will be invited to see what campers have been working on throughout the week.
🧩 And more! We have board games, a reading corner, awesome counsellors, robots and other tech toys kids can learn and play with throughout the week!

What To Bring:

• Nut-Free Lunch + Water bottle and any snacks you might want throughout the day.
• Time will also be spent outside each day. Be sure to dress appropriately (Eg. clothing that can get dirty, closed-toed shoes for running around, hats, etc.) and pack sunscreen! 

That's it! All camp equipment and supplies will be provided by Ampere!

This introduction to STEAM is for our youngest learners, ages 5 and 6, and features hands-on activities touching on science, technology, engineering, art and math in fun (sometimes messy) ways. In addition to making the ever-popular Oobleck, using the Dash and Dot robots and building forts and tracks, campers will develop collaboration, classroom and fine motor skills.

This camp is for children ages 5-6
Learners must be at least 5 years old by the first day of camp.

Appreciating the significance of agriculture in the area, this camp for learners ages 7 to 10 includes a collaboration with local farmers as attendees learn not only about the science behind growing and preparing food but also about food insecurity and community involvement. 
Expect plenty of walking and outdoor time during this camp!

Explore the outdoors while learning about ecology, the food chain and plants. With an introduction to geocaching, art activities like leaf rubbing, opportunities to use maps and a chance to build a water filtration system, learners ages 6 to 8 are sure to enjoy this hands-on week of outdoor education.

Drop off will be at the Field House, on the right near the main parking lots.
